Rainbow Plate Coral is a free-living Fungia coral featuring multiple contrasting colors across its fleshy tissue and radiating skeletal pattern. Every specimen has its own combination of colors, stripes and fluorescent accents.
Place the coral the sand bed where its tissue can fully expand without rubbing against rockwork. Avoid strong, direct flow and leave space around the coral because plate corals can move gradually. Plate corals are very low in agression and can be placed touching other non-agressive corals. New plate corals puff up sooner if they are provided with a few meals of meaty or pellet foods while acclimating.
