Flat Bottom Trachyphyllia Corals have broad, fleshy polyps and relatively flat undersides that rest naturally on the aquarium sand bed. Place the coral on a clean, unobstructed sand bed where its tissue can fully expand without rubbing against rockwork. Avoid strong lighting or direct water flow, and provide adequate space from neighboring corals. Weekly feeding of meaty or pellet food helps promote optimal health but aren't required. Flat bottom Trachyphyllia are the hardiest variety of Trachyphyllia.
